Restaurants

Rockland County does not have a restaurant that exclusively serves organic foods.  The restaurants on the following list are considered to be health conscious eateries and if you choose wisely, you should be able to get a balanced, healthy meal.

Visit Nyack & Piermont

Nyack & Piermont are towns with restaurants for everyone’s liking.  They both sit on the shore of the Hudson River and are the antique capital of Rockland County.  You can sit and watch the boats on the Hudson River or take a leisurely stroll along the river path at Hook Mountain State Park.  With the charming boutiques, craft shops, cafes, and live theater, there is something for everyone to enjoy.  Nyack is located 15 minutes from our Center.  Take NYS Thruway South to Exit 11, make a left at the end of the ramp.  The center of town is straight ahead.

Hacienda de Don Manuel
Authentic Mexican food, delicious guacamole.

72 Lafayette Ave.
Suffern, NY 10901
(845) 369-1633

When choosing a place to eat you will probably do better in an ethnic restaurant (Japanese, Indian, Mexican) than at a "fast-food" eatery or a diner.  Focus on steamed or sautéed veggies, fish, whole grains, salads, bean dishes and fresh fruit.  Bring your own herb tea or order spring water or unsweetened fruit juice.
